But at least it has the full album version of "Sweet Emotion" which was brutally cut on their Aerosmith's Greatest Hits compilation. The 2 new songs are okay, I prefer the songs they did for the Big Ones compilation better. So overall, not a bad compilation of Aerosmith. All the big hits are there, but could have been a little better/5().

The song kicks into a more rocking rhythm with dueling guitars, and rapid-fire angry-sounding lyrics sung by Tyler. The chorus consists of a repeating guitar riff followed by a mirror of the "sweet emotion" intro. On the compilation Aerosmith's Greatest Hits, "Sweet Emotion" appears in edited form. The bass and talk box introduction is removed, and the track begins with the chorus that precedes the first verse.

This debut album delivers full bore boogie/blues rock that makes you wanna move. Steven Tyler sings in a deeper pitched voice than he would later employ while largely keeping in check the vocal acrobatics that would later become his calling card. Aerosmith clearly showcases all the attributes of the band that would become the defining American hard rock band of the '70s.
